nr band is the side project of damian lyman and thomas cassady (of an exciting new bears club). straying from the skewed songwriter pop of their main project, nr band explores atonality and loosely structured noise pop with extensive use of electronic editing, synths and electric guitar. the result is jarring yet melodic, brutal without taking itself too seriously and wholly satisfying.
